Iceland Photo blog #1: Reykjavík, the matching city

3 days in Reykjavík and here is photo blog one.

There is lots of colour on the houses and I love how the colours are all matching. Old and new style houses.  A few exceptions of course. A lot of houses look like the countryside houses in Sweden. A few look like they do in England with baywindows. Clever use of corrugated iron for weather protection and no bricks to be seen. Everything looks like it’s built in between 1910-1939 or last year.

The entire country is over the treeline, so there’s hardly any trees. There is no rubbish next to the motorway and you can see really really far, like in Skåne, where I come from. And the air is incredibly fresh.
